If we do not come to the understanding through Gods word and through the wisdom that He teaches us through his word, we will always be at awe about people like this. It is not this young man that killed these people so ruthlessly over something so simple as a cigarette. It was what was in him that committed this horrific crime if you noticed he said he just clicked or snapped or something to that fact.

What we are dealing with is spiritual warfare, demonic control over our young people today. Many of our young ones that have opened themselves to this possession without their knowledge because of the lack of time spent in knowing the word of God. They have because a generation that does not have time to seek the wisdom that the word of God has to offer us in these evil days. Why are these young kids taking lives today like it is nothing? Because of evil influences demonic powers from on high and the lack of love in there hearts have opened them up to this control.

Deuteronomy 32:5 They have corrupted themselves, their spot is not the spot of his children: they are a perverse and crooked generation

Many of us want to point the finger at this young man because all we see is him commiting a murder. You may not have commited a murder but none of us are in a position to judge him. We need to find a way to help the youth of today. He is not the only one who feels this way. We need to start taking back control over our homes. It takes a village to raise a child worked back then, it will work now. So many people don't want to correct their children and so many children are running their homes. Some children are forced to be the parent. So many are being abused mentally, physically and spiritually. We need to start with the young people so we can have a future.....

This is one of many young men that may had few people in his life that could have helped him go a much different path

When he asked the reporter look in my eyes and tell e what you see....

I saw Pain, Neglect, Cries for help

Since he has made his decision to commit & admit to this crime, he seems to feel that he has no reason to care about what happens to him...

This is a case that should wake up people that may have a young person in their reach that may be on a similar path as this young man....

Please be there for them!

Reading the comments above, we are all basically feeling the same way and coming to the same conclusions regarding this tragedy. Not to get off subject, but this sadly is the kind of thing and reason Sen. Obama is speaking out to OUR community. My heart and prayers go out the families of the victims and to this young man who is in need of prayer.

It's all of our faults: Those of us who don't reach out to fill the gaps of youth who need a responsible adult to give a positive alternative to the negativities they expereince every day. Yes, the youth and their parents hold the lionshare of accountability, but we need to bring back the sense of 'community parenting' that helped many of us get through. We can each play a positive role in the life of a child, needing more that their parent may be able to give.
This young man shut down long ago, but, someone saw the decline. Someone touched this young man at various points of the descent into the pit he's in now. More of us making the conscious effort to 'BE' the village so many of us eloquently toss around, will make a change for the positive. One or two people here & there, get easily overwhelmed - but - having a community of 'parents', 'grandparents' - a gauntlet of hands-on caring INVOLVED adults, can and will make a great difference.
I go to a not-so-great-paying job everyday, that I love because everyday, I get to at the very least, plant a positive seed in the lives of youth in the juvenile 'justice' system who are'nt mine biologically, but are very much mine, because they are part of my 'village' and I am part of theirs'

As I watched this video of a young man confessing to killing two men in Garland, Texas, which occurred last Thursday, I saw rage in this man's eyes. The nineteen-year-old had told the man interviewing him that he had nothing to live for, and he doesn't know why he was even born in the first place. He said he could've been better off someplace else. The interviewer then asked him what's his past been like. The young man's response was, "HELL." Unfortunately, there are thousands of young men right here in the United States who have the same mindset as this young man. When you leave a child alone to raise himself or herself, this is the kind of individual that emerges many times. When you neglect children, it is a form of psychological abuse. I don't give a rat's buttocks if parents don't like each other; if you neglect a child, turn your back on a child, half-azz raise a child, emotionally/physically/sexually abuse a child, or don't care about a child's education or future, and he/she ends up in prison at the age of 18 or 19 for capital murder, IT'S YOUR FAULT! It's not the white man's fault! It's not the fault of the justice system (in this particular case)! It's not America's fault! It's the parents' fault!

This video and any like it should be removed the web. When will our people realize that showing videos like this is a cop out? I call it a cop out because it allows people that don't stand for anything to think they'll stand now (and forget all of the things they should've stood for in the past). How many videos, email messages and black Fridays do we need for people to realize that it starts with YOU? WE are NOT a product of OUR SURROUNDINGS! If you disagree, please research Frederick Douglass (a former slave that became a Vice Presidential Candidate) or the vast amount of other slaves that were freed or freed themselves. God gives every man the opportunity to change his stars (even if it's only his train of thought). I propose a new act; Every black person that says, "We need to... or Black people need to..." should instantly stop and ask their inner self if they are doing what they're about to say. If the answer is no or if they aren't doing anything to help someone achieve what they propose, then they shouldn't say it at all. What happened to the uplifting of our people? How many more bad reports do I have to see before I can see a video or email regarding one of our youth showing promise (other than on a court or a field)? We all have been charged by our ancestors. We have no excuse. The adversity they faced will ALWAYS trump what we face. The white man didn't make us this way. We allowed ourselves to become ignorant and will remain as such until we each realize that talking about an issue is not the same as taking action against it. We were and still can be a PROUD nation, a PROUD people. Much of the pride from our race has been lost due to our own complacency. Our ancestors fought and died for the right to vote, fought and died for equality, fought and died against unthinkable odds to make our lives better...and how do we repay them? Not voting, becoming racists ourselves, killing each other, glorifying sports and money over spirituality and willingly removing our heritage. Most black people don't even care where they came from (historically). They've lost their sense of true self. There is a latin term, "Nosce te ipsum" which means, "Know Thyself%u201D that we each should adhere to. We were a PROUD nation, a PROUD people. We should never forget that.

I actually cried this morning listening and seeing the video of this young man expressing how he had nothing to live for and did not know why he was even born. So many of our youth feel this way and until WE ALL get involved, not just the church, the teachers, police officers, but ALL of us individually and collectively actively get involved with all of OUR youth we will ocntinue to see a generation kill and be killed. I would like to get an address for this young man and have people begin to write letters letting this young man know we understand, we love him GOD forgives if he ask for HIS forgiveness and at least let this young man know he is loved. Also, my condolences go out to the victims and their families who died because of this awful tragedy.

This video broke my heart completely. We must wake up and understand that the pain he felt that led him to murder is the pain of so many young men and women in this country. We must work together to become keepers of our communities. This young man could have been saved if someone just said I love you and took him in.

Life is not without its thorns for sure but if you are not awakened by this video, I can't help you.

Let us all make a decision today to make a difference in someone's life.
